Kayla's Chick Rant and Book Blog: May 9-15

Trying something a little different! I was being nostalgic and looking for a journaling app, and then I realized... dumbass--you have a whole-ass blog! So I'm taking it back to my Kayla the Bibliophile days and going to try to post like I did in the time of The Blogger Diaries hehe! What do y'all think? Is that something you'd enjoy?

If not, oh well. I'mma do it anyway. :P


Sunday May 9-

It was Mother's Day. I told Jason all I wanted was to be left alone so I could clean in peace. That didn't happen LOL! Instead, we finished up Imohtopia!

Monday May 10-

Day 1 of our new diet. Josalyn went to the gym with me and we did leg day. We spent the rest of my child care time in the cafe, and I started my edit on Nala Henkel Ashlinn's Beauty and the Bulldog! If you don't know this already, she's one of my very favorite authors I edit for. Her stories are so fun and well-told. I always get giddy to see her on my Hot Tree schedule <3


Tuesday May 11-

Did Lifebarre as my workout. Holy shit, so sore after leg day yesterday. Edited more of Nala's book. I think it's my favorite of hers so far, and I've edited ALL of them!


Wednesday May 12-

Super rainy day. Took Vivi to the gym for her to play while I did some cardio and back/biceps on the machines. I edited more of Nala's book, then Vivi and I went to Costco and Aldi. I broke diet for the first time, because I would've murdered someone for some Cane's. Hubby didn't want me to go to jail, so he went and got some for me.


Thursday May 13-

Too sore, so I took a day off from the gym. I spent the day editing and making Tiktoks, because that is pretty much my life LOL! Talked to the lovely Willow Winters, and I'll be editing hers and Amelia Wilde's upcoming cowritten book next week. Also in next week's lineup of edits are the amazing Tara Sivec and Jenika Snow. And yes, next week is my "week off" haha. No, I don't know how to take those. #Virgo


Friday May 14-

Soooo, Nala's book is a MONSTER, almost 100k words, so my ass has to stay home and bust out some work so I can get it done by my deadline. Which means no gym for me today. I did, however, make the BEST copycat of my favorite meal at my gym's restaurant, their Southwest Chicken bowl. Hubby even made the cilantro crema from scratch. <3
